The national football team of India is controlled by the All India Football Federation and forms part of the Asian Football Confederation. The team ranks 100th in the FIFA rankings as per the 1st June 2017 issued rankings. The team made three appearances in the Asian Cup, with the best performance coming in 1964 when the team finished runner-up.
This is the new home kit that India will wear for the 2017/18 season. It is manufactured by Nike and was launched in the friendly match against Nepal on the 6th June. Nike used a well-known template for the kits. The base colour of the shirt is blue, with a red stripe going around the collar, a red stripe on each side of the body as well as on the sleeves.
