These are the current 2016/17 adidas kits of Dutch football club, AFC Ajax. Ajax are considered as the most succcesful club in the Netherlands, having won 33 Eredivisie league titles and 18 Dutch Cups.
Apart from its domestic success, Ajax have won the European Cup/Champions League four times, their latest trophy being in 1994/95 when they defeated AC Milan 1-0 thanks to a Patrick Kluivert goal in the 85th minute.
The club’s kits are manufactured by German brand adidas – a partnership which started in 2000 and is set to run until 2019. Dutch telecommunications company Ziggo is the current kit sponsor.
The home shirt features the club’s traditional colours, red and white, the red dominating the central part. It has the adidas 3-stripes running down the sides of the shirt in red and red trim around the sleeve ends.
The new Ajax away shirt is primarily black with dark blue sleeves and light blue detail. The adidas 3-stripes are featured on the shoulders in light blue. The shirt also features a graphic of 3 large ‘x’ along the center.
