These are the current home and away kits being used by German club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The club is based in the city of Leverkusen in North Rhine-Westphalia. Although the club has never won the Bundesliga title, they have managed to come close, finishing as runners-up on five occassions. The club also came close to winning the UEFA Champions League in the 2001/02 season when they managed to knock out Liverpool and Manchester United in the final stages of the competition, only to lose out 2-1 to Real Madrid in the final match.
The current home shirt is primarily black with red horizontal pinstripes running along the shirt. On the upper part of the shirt are featured the club logo and shirt manufacturer logo, on a red pin striped base.
For their away fixtures, Leverkusen are wearing a primarily red shirt with a black sash running from the top left to the bottom right of the shirt. The shirt has a round red collar and black sleeve hems.
