More shirt news from the German Bundesliga as we now take a look at Borussia Dortmund’s 2017/18 new home shirt. The club has chosen ‘Pure Emotion’ as its motto for the shirt launch campaign – passion, willpower, love for the game and enthusiasm.
The new shirt will make its debut on the last matchday of the current Bundesliga campaign when BVB host Werder Bremen. Additionally, Black and Yellow fans have been asked to send in their personal messages of motivation for the team, some of which will be chosen by players to be printed on the inside of the collar for their match shirts to be played in the DFB Cup final on 27 May against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The new home shirt features the traditional primary colour of the club, yellow, and has also horizontal stripes which have a black/yellow gradient as they move across the shirt. The Puma logo is featured on the shoulder and also on the top right part of the chest. Club sponsor Evonik has its logo adorning the front of the chest.
Speaking about the new shirt, BVB midfielder Marco Reus said: “I like the new design PUMA have developed. The horizontal stripes with changing colours are really cool. Now we want to round off the season in style in the new shirts, and then challenge on all fronts in the coming season and achieve as much success as possible.”
