Carlos Tevez together with his new club, Shanghai Shenhua FC have revealed their new 2017 Nike home kit. Tevez made headlines on December 29, 2016 when he agreed a contract with the Chinese Super League club which would see him earn $41 million a year, making him the World’s highest-earning football player.
Shanghai Shenhua play in the top Chinese football league and finished in fourth place last season. According to Forbes, the club is the sixth most valuable team in China, with an estimated team value of $106 million and revenue of $29 million in 2015. Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Gus Poyet is the current Shanghai Shenhua manager.
The new Shanghai Shenhua home shirt is primarily blue and features two vertical stripes of a darker shade of blue. The shirt also has red detail around the collar, features the Nike ‘swoosh’ logo in red on the top right part of the chest, whilst the club crest is placed on the opposite side.
Tevez will be wearing the number 32 shirt once again. He used the same number during his stints at Manchester City and Manchester United, whilst he was given the number 10 shirt at Juventus and Boca Juniors.
