Irish sportswear company O’Neills have revealed the new kits of the Democratic Republic of Congo; the kits which the Leopards will be wearing during the 2017 African Cup of Nations which kicks off later today. The DR Congo have won the African tournament on two occasions, in 1968 and 1974. In the last edition of the tournament held in 2015, they finished in third place.
DR Congo are in Group C of the tournament, together with Ivory Coast, Morocco and Togo. They play their first fixture against Morocco on January 16; Ivory Coast on 20 January and Togo on January 24.
The new home shirt is features the country’s flag colours, red, yellow and light blue. The shirt features the country flag on the left chest and the official crest on the right. Similar to the new away and goalkeeper shirts released, the shirt features large design on the front outlining the country map with the DR Congo Football Federation logo imprinted on it.
The new DR Congo away shirt is primarily white with light blue. Additionally O’Neills revealed the two new goalkeeper shirts, one red/lemon and the other lime/black.
