Football Shirt Friday is back on April 28th as football fans are being encouraged to dig out their retro classic, this season’s kit or even make a one-off gesture and wear your rival’s shirt by joining Team Believe to help funding research to beat bowel cancer.
The Bobby Moore Fund
Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK was set up by Stephanie Moore MBE, Bobby’s widow, in his memory to fund pioneering, life-saving bowel cancer research.
Since the fund was set up in 1993 mortality rates have fallen 30% and over £23.5 million has been raised for research, but we still have so much more to do.
Fans are encouraged to wear a football shirt on April 28th, be it to work or amongst family and friends, and donate £2 to the cancer research charity association. All money raised goes towards funding world class research that has the potential for the greatest impact in ensuring more people survive bowel cancer.
Join the likes of Robbie Savage, Ray Winstone and everyone else in Team Believe and wear your shirt with pride on April 28th and don’t forget to donate!
And don’t forget to share your pictures on the day, on social media by using #FootballShirtFriday!
