More kit news from Japan as we now take a look at the newly released Gamba Osaka Umbro kits for 2017. The club is based in Suita, Osaka. The club has won the Japanese J1 League twice, in 2005 and 2014. They have also won the 2008 AFC Champions League which earned them a place in the successive 2008 FIFA Club World Cup where they finished in third place.
Gamba Osaka’s new home shirt features an interesting purple/black striped design with turquoise pinstripes running down the black stripes and a splattered design running along the purple stripes. The Umbro logo is featured on the upper right part of the chest with the club crest placed on the top left part. Shirt sponsors Panasonic have their logo at the top center part of the chest with secondary shirt sponsors Ship Healthcare and Rohto having their logo at the back.
Umbro presented the team with another interesting design for their away shirts. The new away shirt is primarily white with silver grey bands featuring a subtle diamond pattern running horizontally across the shirt. The shirt has a dark purple collar which drips down to the sides of the shirt.
