These are the current 2016/17 Maltese national team kits, manufactured by Italian brand Givova. The kits were released last October. Malta were drawn in Group F of the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign together with England, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania and Scotland.
With four matches played so far, Malta are yet to win their first point. They lost 2-0 against England and Lithuania, 5-1 to Scotland and 1-0 to Slovenia. The European minnows now hope to secure their first points when they face Slovakia at Ta’ Qali on March 26.
Malta’s current home shirt is primarily red with white trim around the collar and sleeve hems. The shirt proudly features the Maltese cross just over the heart, whilst shirt makers Givova have their logo on the upper right part of the chest as well as on the sleeves. The shirt also features subtle diagonal red stripes along the front.
Malta’s current away shirt is primarily white with red and silver detail. The shirt has a white polo collar with red detail, red sleeve hems and silver diagonal stripes running along the front.
