During the 2017-18 season, Newcastle United will be celebrating the club’s 125th anniversary. To mark this important milestone, the club has launched the below club crest which commemorates the team’s 125th year of history since being founded in 1892.
The Toon or the Geordies, as they are commonly referred to, are playing the 2016/17 season in the Championship, the second division of English football, having been relegated from the Premier League the previous season. However, under the guidance of Rafa Benitez, who stayed on as manager despite relegation, the team seems set to make an immediate return to the Premier League in the 2017/18 season. The new home kit for the upcoming season will be launched in the coming weeks.
