Panathinaikos’s Kits to be Designed by Nike for 2017-18

Panathinaikos is the oldest active football club hailing from Greece. The team plays in the Greek Superleague. In the 2015-16 season, they finished second in the table but with an astonishing 30 points less than league winners Olympiacos, which ran ahead of the rest of the teams by far at the top of the table. The last time that Panathinaikos won the Greek Superleague was in 2009/10, which was their 20th all-time league triumph.

As announced by our partners Classic Football Shirts, Panathinaikos’ kits will be manufactured by Nike as from the upcoming 2017-18 season, cutting their deal with Puma after just 2 seasons, with reports that they have been unhappy with the current deal. Previously, Adidas has been kit supplier of Panathinaikos for 20 consecutive years between 1995 and 2015. We look forward to seeing the new designs by the American brand Nike which will be designing kits for the Greek club for the first time next season. The brand also manufactures kits for AEK Athens in Greece, the third-placed team in 2015-16.
