Rumours: Napoli to switch to Umbro from 2017/18?

According to rumours that began circling the web last month, Italian club SSC Napoli are set to terminate early their kit deal with Kappa to switch to Umbro. SSC Napoli and Umbro already have some history together, as Umbro was the club’s kit supplier between 1991/94.

Kappa became the club’s technical sponsor from the 2015/16 season, taking over from Macron. The initial deal would have seen the Italian brand supplying Napoli’s kits until 2020, but according to SoccerWeb24, this will not happen. They report that a new deal with Umbro, the British brand, now owned by Nike, will become the club’s official kit supplier from 2017/18. This is not yet official news, so we therefore await for more details!
