The San Jose Earthquakes have revealed their new primary home shirt for the 2017 MLS season. The team was founded in 1994 as San Jose Clash. Their roll of honour includes 2 MLS Cups and 2 Western Conference playoff titles. In the 2016 season, the team finished 9th in the Western Conference and were knocked out in the fourth round of the MLS Cup.
The new San Jose Earthquakes home shirt features a bold black and master blue with gradient diagonal to horizontal pattern which gives the shirt a completely fresh look to the team. The shirt features red tape on the inside of the neckline, ‘Earthquakes – San Jose 1974’, being a nod to the original date of foundation of the team’s franchise which played in the North American Soccer League.
The shirt is fitted for the players on the field, and the adidas logo and MLS Crests are heat-applied for maximum player comfort. The kit also features the best of adidas technology with an engineered adizero back panel for player comfort and temperature regulation.
Unity. Devotion. Heritage.
